PROSPECTIVE MEMBER OPEN HOUSE AT TIKVAT ISRAEL CONGREGATION

2200 BALTIMORE RD, ROCKVILLE, MD 20851

301-762-7338

AUGUST 8, 2010

1:30-3:00 P.M.

Are you searching for a friendly, participatory, welcoming and egalitarian Conservative synagogue? If so, cool off with ice cream and other snacks as you tour Tikvat Israel, located just steps from Rock Creek Park; meet some TI congregants, the Rabbi, Religious School Director, Early Childhood Center Director, Youth and Family Programming Director, and other staff; and learn about our synagogue’s programs and activities.  We look forward to getting to know you!

The Open House is on August 8, 1:30-3:00pm. at 2200 Baltimore Rd., Rockville, MD.  Tikvat Israel is conveniently located near Rockville, Olney, King Farm, Leisure World, Wheaton, and Silver Spring.

At Tikvat Israel we appreciate and are enriched by the great diversity of backgrounds that make up the TI community today. Our congregation includes not only people steeped in Jewish experience and training, but also those just discovering or exploring the beauty and richness of Judaism. Some come from traditional religious backgrounds; others grew up in non-observant homes. Some are Jews by choice; others are part of interfaith families – we are all one community.

Together we are united in the common desire to belong to a congregation where community means friendship and support, where religious practice means providing the path to your own spiritual inspiration, and where education for young and old means personal growth and discovery. Tikvat Israel is a place where you and your family will become enriched through friendship, prayer, and mitzvot.
