Calling Tall Talent at TI.........posted Dec 11, 2006

Warren Berger is looking for a few good physical specimens - especially if they are tall and speedy!

He is recruiting players for Tikvat Israel's basketball team in the Montgomery County Synagogue League, which runs on Sunday mornings from January through March. This is the 10th season that TI has entered a team.

"We need more players, especially if you are young, tall or quick!" says Berger, who is the TI head coach and a player. "Please note -- the games are very competitive and not for those who are out-of-shape."

TI plays against teams from other synagogues (mostly Conservative). It is for Jewish men only. Players must be at least 18 to play, and no team can have more than two players under age 25.

The league web site is at http://www.mensclubbasketball.com. Last winter, TI placed ninth in the conference.
