TI Falls to Shaare Torah in Basketball.........posted Feb 3, 2006
TI's men's basketball team dropped its fourth game in as many starts this winter, falling to undefeated Shaare Torah 79- 51 in the Montgomery County synagogue basketball league. Statistics on TI's leading performers weren't available, but Coach Warren Berger said the game featured an interesting twist. "Playing for TI for the first time this year was David Blum, a former member of Beth Tikva. Playing for our opponents was Dan Eckstein, another former member of Beth Tikva whose parents still belong to Tikvat Israel," he said. Berger pointed to one bright spot in defeat: "Our 51 points were a season high for us!" |
