Rabbi To Address Nigerian Jewry in Speaker Series.........posted May 1, 2006
From the day Rabbi Gorin returned from his education and training mission in Nigeria, congregants have asked about an opportunity to hear him speak about his experiences. The answer is yes. The rabbi will deliver a presentation at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 22, as part of the Jewish Study Center speaker series at Temple Adas Israel, 2850 Quebec St. N.W. (Cleveland Park section of Washington). The synagogue is located one block north of the Cleveland Park Metro station, and parking is available. The rabbi’s insights into the Jewry in Nigeria are part of a five-week speaker series titled Jewish Cultures Across the Globe. Individual classes cost $15 for Adas Israel members and $20 for others.
