Adult Education Launches Varied Series.........posted Nov 6, 2006

The TI Adult Education Committee, co-chaired by Susan Apter and Ronald Rabin, has scheduled a full array of events in the next several months.

Members are strongly encouraged to register in advance with the office so organizers know how many to expect.

Rabbi Gorin's classes:

• "The Minor Prophets: Amos, Hosea and Micah" - The class will be held at 7:45 p.m. on the first Thursdays of December, January and February.
• The Weekday Ma'ariv Service - Tuesday evenings Nov 28, Dec 5 (with 10th grade Chai Class Students) at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday Morning Breakfast Series - (9:45 a.m. food, 10:15 a.m. lecture):

• Nov 12 - Clifford Fishman, "The Law in Biblical and Modern Times"
• Dec 10 - Debra Band, Judaic artist, Song of Songs, and Illuminated Manuscript (note date change from flyer. Co-sponsored with Artsites)
• Dec 17 - Avrum Ashery, "Hasburah - How Well Are We Doing?"

Talmudic Debates with Rabbi Yaakov Lipsky:

• Sundays Nov. 5 and Dec. 3 - Talmudic Debates (No Hebrew or Aramaic necessary)
• Wednesday evenings - Nov 1, 15, 29, Dec 13 - "Kabbalah - The Nature of G-d" and "G-d's Relationship to Creation" (8 p.m.) or Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 2, 16 and 30, Dec 14.
