Congregants can follow the exploits of congregants Ron Rabin and Janaki Kuruppu during their bike-riding expedition in Israel during the first two weeks of November through a blog that Janaki is maintaining at http://janakiworldcitizen.blogspot.com/.
Ron and Janaki are participating in the Wheels of Love, a benefit bicycle ride in its 6th year of raising funds for Alyn Hospital, the only pediatric rehabilitation hospital in Jerusalem. The hospital is 100 percent privately funded, and accepts patients of any denomination or nationality, so there is a perpetual "shortfall" of reimbursement, since not all patients are covered by Israel's medical insurance. That shortfall is made up, in part, by sponsorships collected in association with the Wheels of Love Bike Ride
The bike ride started on Oct. 29 in Jerusalem. Janaki will cycle 260 miles, while Ron will be pedaling 400 miles to Eilat, on the Red Sea.
Janaki's blog includes photos of the husband-wife pair with their bikes.
Congregants can add their comments to the blog (comments are moderated, so they won't appear immediately).
