Sporting a 3-10 record heading into the final two weeks of the regular season, Tikvat Israel's men's softball team seeks a late-season rush to glory.
The TI forces rank 19th in the 21-team Montgomery County synagogue league. Single-elimination playoffs begin on June 24.
Tikvat Israel scored two of its wins in an opening-weekend doubleheader but has been able to generate only one victory since then.
The team plays doubleheaders every Sunday morning at recreation sites across the county. Current standings and the upcoming game schedule can be found at www.synagogue-softball.org.
TI's team is coached by Will Hochman, who was unavailable for comment on the team's performance.
