Atid Learning Center Update – April 17, 2016

Atid-COLLAGEClass Updates:

Jerusalem (K/1) – Today we talked about how we prepare our home for Passover. The night before the first Seder we do B’dikat Chametz. During B’dikat Chametz,we search our houses for any left over crumbs of chametz with a spoon and feather. The chametz is then put into a paper bag and burned after a bracha is said. In class, the kids looked for the chametz with a spoon and feather and decorated a B’dikath Chametz bag for their homes.

Today we also talked about the the different food on the Seder plate and what the food symbolizes. I hope everyone has a great week and Chag Sameach!

Haifa (2/3) – Today in class we continued with our Hebrew and learned the letters Chet and Chaf which both say “ch” (as in Chanukah). We also realized that we only have a few more lesson to complete until the end of our Hebrew book.

After break we brainstormed about Passover, completed a Passover Haggadah “walk” and created Passover themed fortune tellers. The class got to explore 5 different types of Haggadot and how they were the same and different. The fortune tellers are for asking questions at the Seder table.
