Spiritual Life at Tikvat Israel

Our services are filled with holiness, spirit, warmth and singing. Everyone is welcome.

Our community is fully egalitarian regarding gender and sexual orientation – we encourage everyone to participate equally and respect how each person prefers to idenitfy. We are committed to creating a community that values and includes all our members regardless of physical and/or mental disabilities. We recognize that families come in many shapes and sizes and often include people who are not Jewish. Our goal is to provide meaningful ways for everyone to connect. Our members often lead services, read Torah and Haftara, chant Megillah, and give Divrei Torah. We encourage and seek to provide opportunities for all who are interested in leading to learn.

  • Weekday Minyanim – Minyanim are held daily and at Shiva houses when needed.
  • Shabbat Services – Tikvat Israel offers an array of experiences for observing Shabbat.
  • Holidays – Learn more about each holiday and find the schedule for upcoming events and services.
  • Music – Music plays an important role in all of our services and we have several opportunities for people to play music with other members and to sing in an a capella group.
  • Lifecycle Events – From birth to death, Tikvat Israel is here to help you mark the important moments in your life and consistent with Jewish tradition.
