Shalom Atid Families,
This week we will read from Parshat Lech Lecha. In this portion we read “The Eternal One said to Abram, “Go forth from your land, your birthplace, your father’s house, to the land that I will show you. I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and it shall be a blessing.” (12:1-2)
Exploring the idea of names in the 2nd verse, as a family, discuss with your child who they are named for (Hebrew and/or English).
Explain to them why you chose that name for them?
Why was that person important to you?
Discuss ways your child embodies the life of the person they are named for and/or can make their name a blessing?
Shavua Tov!

Sunday we:
-learned the story of Noah’s Ark
-the kids were given the challenge to try and make as many words as they could from the words “NOAH’S ARK.” We even took this worksheets outside to get help from the ‘big’ kids, we came up with a great list of words, the kids enjoy this activity.
-we also did a Noah’s Ark crossword puzzle, to learn some of the finer details of the Noah portion. We discovered the names of Noah’s kids, how old Noah was when the flood occurred, how many pairs of clean animals (kosher)came on the ark, etc.
-In Hebrew we learn the letter nunIt was very nice to see the different pets that came to the celebration of the Animals in the end of the day.
