Tallitot, With Their Vivid Colors, Carry Personal Meaning for Our Congregants

Tikvat Israel is a colorful congregation to behold on Shabbat and festival mornings, thanks to the many beautiful handmade tallitot crafted by Shirley Waxman. As part of our Shavuot celebrations, nearly 40 congregants gathered in the social hall following evening services May 30 to admire each other’s tallit and to share the verses and adornments each has chosen as the atarah, or tallit collar.
