Lisa LeBourgeois (left, in the photos), cultural affairs officer for the Embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C., shared context about Israeli society with members of Tikvat Israel Congregation in Rockville before and after the showing of the 2019 Israeli-produced film “Born in Jerusalem and Still Alive” on Saturday evening, Jan. 18. The film is one of two recent Israeli films being screened at the synagogue this month.
LeBourgeois also will provide analysis following “Shooting Life (HaSusita Shel Herzl)” on Jan. 25. The showing begins at 7:45 p.m. with refreshments following. Admission is $18 for non-members of Tikvat Israel and $5 for students with an ID.
