We are pleased to welcome Michael Leifman as our guest Shaliach Tzibbur to lead services on Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah. Michael is a climate and clean energy policy expert who regularly serves as a shaliach tzibbur at the Adas Israel Traditional Egalitarian Minyan. Michael has also been a paid hazzan for Adas Israel on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, leading services both in the main sanctuary and in their alternative services, as well as at Ohr Kodesh Congregation. Michael inherited his appreciation of nusach from his father, Rabbi Morty Leifman, z”l, the long-time dean of the cantorial school at JTS, and his musical talent from his mother, Vera Leifman, z”l, a classically trained professional violinist. We hope you will join us as Michael leads us in this meaningful conclusion to the Fall holiday season.
