Jerusalem (K/1) – Today in class we discussed the parashat ha’shavuah Ki Tisa. In the parasha God chose Bezalel to be in Charge of building the Mishkan, and give him instructions on how to make the oil. Also in the parasha, Moses returns from the top of Mount Sinai with the 10 Commandments only to see the people worshiping a golden calf.
In Hebrew we learned the letter Tsazee and the word Tzedakah and discussed different ways we can give charity.

Haifa (2/3) – Today in class we continued with our focus on Hebrew. We completed two lessons and focused on the letters Vet, Vav, Sin, Samech, and the vowel sound “ai”. To date we have reviewed/learned the majority of the alphabet, 7 vowel sounds, and lots of vocabulary words. Reading and decoding skills are getting stronger and we are beginning to work on our reading fluency! I am so vary proud of the progress each student has made so far this year.
Some students went home with vowel flash cards today. These flashcards are for them to practice at home. Since some vowels have more than one way to be written, these flash cards will help our students better recognize the vowels in their various forms. They are to bring their flash cards to class next week!

Sunday, March 13 – All School Program Day. Atid Learning Center’s all school program day from 9:00 – 11:30 am. We will be continuing our focus on Gimilut Chasadim and how it relates to the world wide Jewish Community.
