Tikvat Israel ended its 2018 season in the Montgomery County Synagogue Basketball League by losing a close playoff game to Congregation Beth El, 65-61, in mid-March.
During the regular season, TI had beaten Beth El, 66-52, with five players hitting multiple three-point baskets.
The TI hoopsters finished with a 1-6 record.
Coach Warren Berger said he looks forward to welcoming new recruits for the 2019 season, which will start in January.
TI also fields a Men’s Club softball team in a county recreational circuit. The team began playing doubleheaders on Sunday mornings on nearby diamonds in April.
Anyone affiliated with TI through membership, the Men’s Club or the ECC is welcome to join the softball squad by contacting Berger () or softball manager Stuart Lempert ().
