Blake High School students performed “The Odyssey of Jeremy Jack” at Tikvat Israel for a crowd of 50 preschool and elementary school children and their parents and grandparents. “The Odyssey of Jeremy Jack,” is Blake Children’s Theater’s third show and the second to be brought to Tikvat Israel. Congregant Mary Wagner, director of Blake’s 12 performers and the high school’s social studies teacher, said she likes the interactive features of this show and the humor. Audience participation is always fun for kids, and the children at Tikvat Israel loved being included, she said.
If you missed the show at Tikvat Israel, there are still several opportunities to see this play. “The Odyssey of Jeremy Jack” will be playing at Blake High School Feb. 27 and 28, as well as March 5 and 6, in the Blake Black Box, with a 2 p.m. matinee each day, along with 7 p.m. performances on Saturdays. Tickets are $5 for children ages 12 and under and $8 for everyone else.
