Rabbi Ben Shull and Cantor Rochelle Helzner formally installed the new officers and board members during Shabbat services on Jan. 21.
On what they titled a “Shabbat of Hope,” they oversaw the installation of the following, who were elected at a congregational meeting two weeks earlier: Melanie Grishman, president; Warren Berger, vice president for administration; James Perlmutter, vice president for programming; Ellen Kaminow, vice president for youth and family; Stuart Lempert, treasurer; Debby Berlyne, recording secretary; Gene Sheskin, financial secretary; and Jonathan Solomon, immediate past president.
Installed as board members: Sally Kram, Alan Apter, Dalit Baranoff, Michael Cohen and Frances Tropp.
Installed as trustees of the TI Fund for the Future: Irving Cohen, Harold Diamond, Louis Leibowitz and Stephen Raucher.
In addition to the installation of our board, we dedicated our new LifeLights Library. This library was made possible through the generosity of Ted and Roz Kram in memory of Ted’s sister, Lucille Kram z”l. LifeLights are inspirational pamphlets produced by rabbis and Jewish educators on a variety of topics that challenge our daily lives.
