A quorum of Tikvat Israel, at a congregational meeting on Jan. 12, ratified a streamlined set of rules governing how TI should operate.
One of the most significant changes to the bylaws was this: All congregational business — involving annual adoption of the operating budget officer and the nomination and election of officers and the board of directors — will be consolidated into a single June meeting from the current structure of three separate meetings.
Board member Sherrie Krauser chairs the TI bylaws committee, which plans to submit additional revisions for congregant approval in late spring.
