Tikvat Israel members approved a $1.64 million budget for the next 12 months at a June 28 congregational meeting. The new budget, which covers July 1 through June 30, 2016, raises to full-time status the positions of rabbi and youth/educator director. Both had been half-time positions. The budget calls for a 10 percent membership dues increase in all three age categories. The budget also counts on a substantial increase in tuition revenue from the Tikvat Israel Early Childhood Center.
