Document Shredding Set for June 7

Tikvat Israel Congregation in Rockville will hold a document shredding event from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 7.

A commercial recycling firm will set up in the synagogue’s parking lot at 2200 Baltimore Road to handle secure shredding on site. The shredder can accommodate hanging files with metal reinforcers, as well as paper clips and staples, but not hardcover books or 3-ring binders.

A $5 fee will be charged for each copier-paper-size box or grocery-store-size paper bag. Boxes and bags with handles are preferred. Please come to the lot with your boxes/bags in the trunk of your car or the back of your van.
Please put your fee in an envelope and put it with your materials to be shredded.

You will pull up to a marked space and pop open the trunk or quickly open the back of your van. A volunteer will remove your payment and take your documents to the truck for shredding. No need for you to get out of your car and this eliminates the need for contact. Please wear a mask.

This event will be Covid-19 guideline compliant, in accordance with guidelines in effect on that date.
