Grammy nominated recording artist Seth Glier and dynamic guitarist Chris Monaghan bring their talents to the stage October 15 at 7:30 pm.
Seth Glier is a seasoned singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who averages over 150 live performances annually. He is known for his passionate live sets and powerful command of both piano and guitar. His music has also caught the ears of fans, industry and critics alike, with USA Today stating that his “exquisite tenor echoes Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel.” His first Daytrotter session was called “a genuine revelation” by Blurt Magazine, and was praised by M Music & Musicians Magazine for its “shimmering, seductive melodies.”
Chris Monaghan is a Harford, Maryland native who now calls Nashville home. He was signed do a development deal at age 15 and recorded albums with Nashville producer Kim Copeland and LA producer Shea Welsh by age 18. Chris’s drive is supplemented by dynamic guitar skills, smooth vocals, and his skill drawing the audience in and leaving them wanting more. His pop-rock sound is influenced by John Mayer, Bruce Springsteen and Jason Mraz, among others. “I love to play live. Performing and seeing people react to my songs is exciting to me,” he says.
The FOCUS event will be staged at Tikvat Israel; light refreshments will be available for purchase during intermission. Advance tickets are available through FOCUS’s website. FOCUS member pricing for tickets purchased at the door will be extended to Tikvat Israel members.
FOCUS is a non-profit organization whose mission “is to bring folk and acoustic music to a growing audience through performance, education and participation in the musical folk art.” Tikvat Israel and FOCUS have agreed to a partnership to bring folk music concerts to Tikvat Israel and the Montgomery County community.
