The Catholic University of America Law School hosted a special program as part of its observance of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of German concentration camps in 1945 on February 10, 2020. The event was cosponsored by the American Bar Association, the German Federal Bar, and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Washington, D.C.
Cliff Fishman, long time Catholic University Law professor, invited congregants to join him for this program and several took him up on the offer. The program was entitled “Lawyers Without Rights: Jewish Lawyers in Germany under the Third Reich.” On display was a meaningful exhibit to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Nazi Death Camps. Following the program was a lovely reception sponsored by the American Bar Association and German Federal Bar Association. Cliff then took fellow congregants on a tour of the law school building, including classrooms, the beautiful library, and his office.
