Cantor Rochelle Helzner performed a Marvin Hamlisch composition, “’Cause I Believe in Loving,” in a virtual concert May 31 titled “Blue Suede Jews” that involved the talents of a half dozen cantors in the Washington area. There were 360 households logged on to view this concert via Zoom video conferencing.
The love theme performed by the cantor in the hour-long concert appears in the early Woody Allen film “Bananas.”
