Shortly after the area’s first major snowfall of 2018, Tikvat Israel’s Hazak group received a warming experience. On March 21 in the shul’s Flax Library, Steve Raucher addressed 25 attendees of a brown-bag lunch on a journey he took with his wife Helen recently to Cuba. Raucher shared his experience and photos, offered a brief overview of the history of Cuba with attention to Jews in Cuba. He also discussed the Cuban roots of Helen’s family.
