Ice Cream (and Rabbi Shull) Attract Young Families to Tikvat Israel

icre-cream_2On a hot and humid August afternoon, Rabbi Shull, his wife Stacy and son Micah had the pleasure of meeting about 15 families and their young children on the ECC patio and playground.  The event, called an “Ice Cream So-Shull,” presented a great opportunity for the Rabbi to introduce himself to families on the eve of the start of school all over Montgomery County.

Sticky fingers and melted chocolate fudgsicles were in abundance as children took advantage of one last day of summer, and parents wondered how the summer went by so quickly.  The event kicked off a busy fall for Tikvat Israel’s young families, with numerous planned children’s services on the High Holidays (including one with Rabbi Shull and Cantor Helzner at 4:00 p.m. on the first day of Rosh Hashanah), a wide variety of Shabbat offerings, and other fun events, some still in the works.
