About 18 members of the Tikvat Israel board of directors completed on July 23 a year-long leadership development program, known as a Sulam, conducted by the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. The final three-hour session included committee chairs and covered the application of congregation mission and vision and core values to the roles and responsibilities of the board president, board members and committee chairs. The concluding session was led by USCJ transformation specialist Nadine Kochavi. The Sulam’s expenses were covered under TI’s USCJ membership.
