Washington Jewish Week editors selected longtime Tikvat Israel congregant Arlene Berger to contribute the Dvar Torah commentary for the newspaper’s Jan. 9 edition. Rabbah Berger is the education director of the Chavurah at Sixth and I Historic Synagogue in the District. (Her website is theitinerantrabbit.blogspot.com.) She titled her commentary “The Murmuring Motif.” It is based on the current week’s Torah portion, Beshallach, Exodus 13:17-17:16.
