More than 100 members of Twinbrook Baptist Church and Tikvat Israel created sandwiches and trays of baked lasagna and filled delivery bags with personal hygiene and household supplies for donation to community members in need during a service project held in TI’s social hall on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The church’s pastor, the Rev. Jill McCrory, and Rabbi Ben Shull briefly addressed the volunteers, who joined together over bowls of warm lentil soup and bread after completing the various projects. The two clergy pledged to find other interfaith ways to collaborate in the months ahead.
