Women’s Network Tours “Freedom, Justice and Equality”

Congregants Deliver Passover Supplies

Eight members of Tikvat Israel farmed out across the area on March 25 to deliver Passover supplies to 30 elderly Jews in need, enabling them to observe the holiday.  TI and other shuls participated in Project HOPE 2018, which is cosponsored each year by B’nai Brith and the Jewish Social Services Agency. Science and Religion Focused Weekend

Tikvat Israel’s Year of Science Committee brought us a full, thought-provoking weekend focused on science and religion to the congregation March 9-11. Scholar’s Weekend 2018 began with a Shabbat evening service, Shabbat dinner and an interactive talk with our keynote speaker Rabbi Geoffrey Mitelman, founding director of Sinai and Synapses in New York. He discussed “How Do We Talk About Science and Religion?” with about 90 participants.
