Synagogue Havurah Lends Hands at A Wider Circle

  Naomi Baer is part of a 16-year-old Havurah at Tikvat Israel, where members take turns coordinating events. When it was her turn in mid-September, Baer opted for something other than the usual social or holiday-related function. Roasted, Removed and Respected

By unanimous voice vote, Tikvat Israel congregants removed Jonathan Solomon and Rodney Matheson from further synagogue leadership during the so-called Un-Presidential Caucus, conducted June 26. It was a lighthearted affair in TI’s social hall to roast the two recent co-presidents while calling attention to their accomplishments during an effective term that ended in January 2015.
