Tikvat Israel members approved a $1.64 million budget for the next 12 months at a June 28 congregational meeting. Rachel Denrich has been hired as Tikvat Israel’s new youth and education director, beginning July 1. Rachel Denrich A Baltimore native, she is returning to Maryland after four years in California as a Jewish educator and youth programmer. On Sunday, June 28, Alan Apter gathered a crew of people to clean out and reorganize the storage area next to the sanctuary. The hard-working volunteers removed and sorted through many boxes and bags and removed old shelving. Then they cleaned and installed metal adjustable shelving that made better use of the space.
