On June 23, about 25 members of TI’s Hazak group attended a presentation about notable Jews buried at Arlington National Cemetery. The presenter was Les Bergen, a former U.S. Army Reservist who is active with the Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington and who leads tours at the cemetery.
His program engaged the audience with fascinating details about the military and civilian lives of Jews who have participated in America’s military conflicts from the Civil War onward as well as Jews who have made important contributions to American life.
