A dedicated group of volunteers, led by Alan Apter, came armed with ladders, screwdrivers and mallets to build Tikvat Israel’s back-patio sukkah on Sunday, October. 6. Apter’s construction helpers were Sandra Schwartz, Aaron Fineman, Harley Liebenson, Dan Matathais, Neil Kram, Jonathan Solomon, Warren Berger, Jeff Baer, Jeff Smith, Sandra (Sandy) Schwartz, Dan Bachman, and Jim Perlmutter. With all the help the sukkah was built in record time, 4 hours, about 30 minutes faster than last year.
Sukkot begins Sunday, October 13 with several celebrations during the week. Notably, Thursday, Oct. 17, with Pizza in The Hut sponsored by the ECC and Oct 18 with a Congregational Shabbat Sukkot Banquet. RSVPs are required for both events.
