Events:

• Purim Mischloach Manot for Legislators – Feb. 22: Join Tikvat Israel SEA Change and Jews United for Justice to pack mishloach manot gift bags to deliver to statewide elected officials.  Let’s share the Jewish values that drive our fight for social justice, explain the connection to Purim, and highlight JUFJ’s legislative priorities. In addition to packing gift bags, we will be making signs and writing sorry we missed you” cards to use for the Purim deliveries in Annapolis. All of these activities will help make deliveries successful. We hope you will join us to craft, snack, and pack for a good cause! Register here.
• Children’s Purim Puppet Show Plus – Mar. 2: Come celebrate Purim with the third year of our Puppet Show “Plus”!  Kids of all ages are welcome to join us for sweets, treats, games, and crafts at 5:30 p.m. on Monday March 2, followed by live music and the annual Purim Puppet Show at 6:15 p.m.
• Full Megillah Reading & Shpiel – Mar. 2: Our evening service with the full megillah reading will start at 7:15 p.m. and will be followed by a Purim Shpiel. You won’t want to miss.

• Mishloach Manot 2026: The Women’s Network of Tikvat Israel is pleased to launch its annual mishloach manot Purim fundraiser. This year, all local members of our community – congregants, ECC families, Netivot families, clergy, and staff – will receive a Purim bag! The theme for this year is “The Flavors of Italy!” Mishloach manot will be delivered to every local congregant. If you do NOT want your mishloach manot, then it will be donated to residents at a local Jewish senior living facility. To send holiday cheer to your fellow community members, please complete the order form no later than 11:50 p.m. ET on February 19. Order here.
• Sunflower Bakery Hamantashen Orders: Order your hamentaschen for Purim from Sunflower Bakery. Deadline to order is Monday, Feb. 23 at noon. Items will be delivered on and available for pickup  Friday, Feb. 27 after 2:30 p.m. Click here to place your order or click here to see their Purim menu.

Volunteer!

• Teens & Tweens Purim Fun – Mar. 2: Calling all teens and tweens interested in helping with the Purim carnival and earning SSL hours. We need your help setting up and running activities such as face painting, cotton candy and crafts. This will take place at Tikvat before the Puppet Show. Click here for more information and to RSVP.
• Community Service for Mishloach Manot – Feb. 25 & Mar. 1-3: The TI Men’s Club is proud to partner with the Women’s Network on this year’s Purim Mishloach Manot project. We are seeking volunteers to help with assembling the packages on Feb. 25 and delivering them to members of the community on Mar. 1-3. Contact ">Shep Roey if you can lend a hand.
