Tikvat Israel’s Tzedakah Havurah acknowledges the congregation’s generosity during the Purim celebration when $591.50 in charity was collected.
The tzedakah collected during the holiday will be dispersed to the following non-profit groups: Alyn Hospital, Save A Child’s Heart, Smile Train, Washington Area Fuel Fund, Rockville Emergency Assistance Program and Make A Wish.
“Special thanks goes to Cantor Helzner and Aaron Mannes for their efforts with Pour ‘Em for Purim,” says David Gantz, who chairs the Tzedakah Havurah.
The other committee members are Hope Kott, Dan Jacobs, Robbie Cohen and Elyse Bernstein.
