Class Updates: Jerusalem (K/1) – Today in class we talked about Parashat Vayikra. The parashah tells us about how to properly conduct the sacrifecs inside the Mishkan. Class Updates: Jerusalem (K/1) – Today parashat hashavuah was Vayakhel. Bezalel organized the Jewish people in building the Mishkan. Each tribe donated their gold, silver and other materials to build and furnish the Mishkan. After we learned about the parash, I asked the class to build their on version of the Mishkan out of Legos. We had a wonderful morning in our all school program. Today we focused on the subject of community. The students were split into groups, walked around the building, and wrote down things that are special to them. Congregants joined parents and students from Atid Learning Center on Sunday morning to honor our pets. We read part of Parshat Bereishit, said a bracha for the small wonders of the world, and walked our animals (a live and stuffed) down an aisle. It was wonderful to see so many loved animals here!
