More than 50 congregants attended a morning of learning called Tikvat Israel University on Sunday, June 5. The event featured 19 speakers discussing 20 topics as varied as starting one’s own business, hosting a dinner party, five ways to cook brisket and the future of automatic cars.
Guest speaker Adam Immerwahr, the artistic director of Theater J, presented a talk on “How to Watch a Play,” which drew enthusiastic reviews as did all of the presenters.
Congregants who taught a class at TI University were Danny Bachman, Carol Chelemer, Robert Copaken, Sam Gilston, Benjamin Hersh, David Kaminow, Roz Kram, Sally Kram, John Melmed, Jeff Miller, Wendy Morrison, Jim Perlmutter, Julia Pitkin-Shantz, Steve Raucher, Jerry Schuchman, Jonathan Solomon, Fred Wagner, Shirley Waxman and Rachel Werner.
