Rabbi Ben Shull provided “A Taste of Melton” sample lesson on the Haggadah to nearly 30 participants April 11 at Tikvat Israel. The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning, a project of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, offers adults the opportunity to acquire Jewish literacy in an “open, trans-denominational, intellectually stimulating learning environment,” according to the Melton website.
Rabbi Shull is exploring whether there is interest at Tikvat Israel in beginning study of the Melton core curriculum in the fall of 2016. The details, such as whether the class will be held at Tikvat Israel or elsewhere in the community, are still being ironed out.
