Nationally noted Judaic fine arts and visual communications designs by Avrum I. Ashery can be seen in a one-man gallery exhibit at the Northern Virginia JCC , February 1 – March 11. The opening reception is on February 11 from 4:30 – 5:30 pm. Art that was presented at the White House in 1976 and placed in the Smithsonian collection will be featured as well as the illustration “The Prayer,” which was banned in the former Soviet Union and used to help the Soviet Jews. Several TI creations will be on display, including the original ark door design in serigraph format and the TI logo. Other Judaic themes of love, family, generations and Torah personalities will be exhibited.
