Rabbi Benjamin Shull was formally installed as Tikvat Israel’s Rabbi on November 1, 2015. Rabbi Shull requested that 10 percent of all sponsorship funds raised for his installation be donated to the Jewish National Fund Israel Tree Planting Center. One Garden of 100 trees and two Orchards of 10 trees each were planted in Israel on behalf of the congregation, and an inscription was entered in the Honor Book of Gardens in Jerusalem. Next time you are in the synagogue take a moment to view the beautiful new mounted certificate outside Rabbi Shull’s office.
