Use of Facebook by Conservative Congregations

The following question came across the USCJ-SPIDER listserv, which is the listserv for webmasters of UCSJ member congregations:

“I was wondering how many congregations have Facebook accounts.
If you have one, is it run by the congregation or by the Rabbi?
If run by the congregation, does a volunteer post and monitor information or
is that handled by a staff member?
Is it [sic] been a positive experience.”

These questions got me thinking, again, about how TI uses electronic communication tools, and what members like and don’t like about connecting online.

I’ve added a few options in the last couple of days on our website, and the office and ECC have been utilizing Constant Contact.

What is your take on our use of e-media?
