Several Tikvat Israel youth joined the Seaboard Region at Capital Camps in Waynesboro, Pa., where they spent a week with other Jewish 6th-12th graders from across Maryland, Virginia, D.C. and North Carolina. Highlights included a day trip to Hershey Park, a day-long Maccabiah (color war) with sports, wacky relays and song and banner competitions, a luau/pool party, ropes/challenge course activities, bonfire and song sessions, community service project, leadership training, a fun Shabbat experience and arts and crafts. This annual late-summer gathering is a favorite among USY and Kadima youth.
