Volunteer in the TI Kitchen

A word from our new Kitchen Chair...

Hello Everyone,

For those who don’t know me, I’m Monica Meyer, a current TI Board member and the new Kitchen Chair as of July 1, 2024. I’m excited to serve our synagogue in this role!

I view our kitchen as the heart of our shul community! It’s where we come together for weekly kiddushes, celebrate each other’s simchas, and enjoy holidays, all while sharing lively conversations and delicious food. This connection is crucial for our synagogue’s vibrancy. My vision is for a kitchen that is welcoming, open, and truly shared by all of us. Engaging in conversation and laughter while working in the kitchen enriches our community experience. To bring this vision to life, I encourage everyone to contribute by volunteering throughout the year, especially for our weekly kiddushes.

If each family can have a member volunteer just 1-2 times a year, we can maintain a well-functioning kitchen that serves us all. For those who might be hesitant about kitchen duties, not all tasks involve cooking. We also need help with set-up and clean-up. Plus, volunteering with friends can be a fun way to socialize and catch up! By all pitching in, we will strengthen our community and likely make new connections.

Sincerely and with gratitude,

Monica Meyer
