The Women’s Network of Tikvat Israel met at the home of Shelly Goldin for its annual membership tea. The TI Women’s Network is part of the Seaboard Region, whose mission is to engage, enrich and empower Conservative Jewish women.
Seaboard Region President Julia Loeb was in attendance and spoke about the need to belong and be part of a group and the way in which Women’s Network meets that need. This year’s theme for Seaboard Region, she said, is nat’ah karem. (She plants a vineyard.)
Rebecca Salon, TI Women’s Network co-coordinator, summarized the plans for the upcoming year, which include a continuation of last year’s popular Rosh Hodesh events, as well as museum trips. She encouraged members to help plan additional events.
Among the more than 20 attendees were Cantor Helzner and the group’s newest member, Stacy Lang, wife of Rabbi Ben Shull
